More Poetry from the Heart - 8/22/01

Your voice, the velvet glove
I slip into so easily,
Summons me onward,
To keep an appointment in time.
Made before first breaths were drawn,
And dreams recountings told.

Two Hearts I saw entwined,
One large, one small within,
Beating as one in rhyme.
So you did call
And I did come
When Loves first breath we drew.

Your eyes settled on mine,
Our hearts went still,
as so did time.

This time when you
Shall hold me close,
Forever you'll be mine.

I wrote this after a dream I had about two hearts, just as the poem says. Happy Dreams.
